EcoSynth is a chemistry-based company with scientists who have a passion for organic chemistry. The team of EcoSynth exists of experienced chemists (most of them have PhD level) with a broad array of skills, knowledge and experience.

Our Senior Scientists take care of the daily operations of EcoSynth's laboratory:

	Ir. Noël Hosten Noël Hosten obtained his degree of industrial chemical engineer at the KHBO in Ostend. He has more than 40 years hands on expertise in the organic synthesis laboratory and has a broad knowledge of organic chemistry reactions. Noël is chemical consultant and responsible for EcoSynth's ad hoc projects.
	Dr. Jean-Baptiste Joos Jean-Baptiste Joos obtained his PhD in organic chemistry at Ghent University working on natural product synthesis. Next he moved to the UK where he obtained a postdoctoral position in supramolecular chemistry at the University of Bristol, in the group of Prof. A.P. Davis. In 2003, he came back to Belgium where he worked in R&D at Dupont de Nemours and as a senior scientist in the medicinal chemistry department of Devgen. His main expertise is medicinal and supramolecular chemistry.
	Dr. Freek Vrielynck Freek Vrielynck worked in the group of Prof. P. De Clercq on the total synthesis of vitamin D₃ and obtained in 2008 his PhD in organic chemistry from Ghent University. His main expertise are organometallic reactions and flow chemistry.
	Dr. Kevin Huvaere Kevin Huvaere is a chemist with a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences (Ghent University). He worked as assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) where he closely collaborated with Professor Leif Skibsted in an interdisciplinary field covering physical organic chemistry, photochemistry, and food chemistry. Before joining EcoSynth, he was active in analytical chemistry at the Scientific Institute of Public Health.
